We offer a progressive course in General English designed to suit students of all levels, from elementary to advanced.
Our experienced teachers use the latest course books and techniques to make your learning experience both rewarding and enjoyable.
At each level we aim to improve all aspects of your English, including grammar, speaking, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening and importantly to build confidence.
At the end of the course, students will be given an end of course certificate. Each level typically takes 12 weeks, but if a student improves quickly a higher level can be achieved in a shorter time period.
English courses are available from 10 hours to 20 hours per week. Students can join the course every time all year around (except College closed dates). There is no minimum stay period.
When you join the Eastern College, you will be given a placement test. This will determine your level. During your course and depending on how long you study we expect you to progress to higher levels.
Our General English courses are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is an international standard for describing language ability.
